It’s 2023! We’re starting off fresh with a new year. Like so many others, I love the new year because it’s the perfect opportunity to reflect on 2022 and make resolutions for the New Year!

Looking back, 2022 was a bumpy ride. I had a major weakness in my left shoulder from LEMS, fell and broke ribs on a trip to Boston, and had major hip weakness during my trip to Washington, DC, for our nonprofit, The Lambert-Eaton LEMS Family Association. On top of that, it was a lengthy, messy process to get away from my former neurologist, with whom our patient-doctor relationship had soured.

    My resolutions for 2023:

-Get off to a fresh start with my new LEMS neurologist

-Increase my exercise, walking more, rehabbing my shoulder, in general, just being more active.

    -Improve my diet

-Work hard to keep a positive outlook in the face of adversity

-Be a better person and love others

These are my LEMS resolutions for 2023!

What are you going to work on this New Year?
