Biography

I have been diagnosed with LEMS since 2016 after many years of progressive symptoms. I also have multiple other autoimmune diseases- Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis, Psoriatic Arthritis, Fibromyalgia, Ankylosing Spondylitis, and more. To help educate about invisible illnesses, I started my blog, The Battle Within, became a Mighty contributor, and most recently, started writing my column, LEMme Tell Ya for the Lambert-Eaton News! Next up- my first book!

When not writing, I take care of my 3 fur babies- an old pug named Rocky (who is the man of the house!) and 2 rescue kitties, an orange tabby named George and a baby tuxie named Wylie! . I love to travel, go to concerts, play cribbage and bake!

I feel very fortunate that my LEMS symptoms are managed well right now with my various treatments. There’s been lots of hurdles along the way, that’s for sure! Having an invisible rare disease that most doctors never see can be challenging!  I write and share my story to try to help others have hope that they too, can live a great life with LEMS!
