I have been slowly becoming less functional over the last 8-10 years. After many tests and many different doctor consults, I have finally had a positive VGCC type P/Q AB test June of this year, but my doctor is still running tests to confirm the diagnosis of LEMS. When having the EMG/NCS, I experienced severe pain with every electrical impulse. The technician, who was very experienced, stated that he had never seen anyone have that kind of response. Has anyone else ever heard of this? I have now had a total of four EMG’s and had the same severe pain each time. Can this be related to LEMS? Also, each test was reported as normal.
