There were 3 reasons why we didn’t continue with IVIG:
1 It didn’t give the expected results (she was better, but not that much).
2 At the time (in 2010), the IVIG treatment was only covered for 60% by the health insurance in Belgium. And the cost for one IVIG treatment was over 6,000 EUR (> 6,600 USD)!

Hi Lori,
My daughter Emma was diagnosed with LEMS ten years ago. She was 12 years old at the time. In August 2010 she was cycling easily 20 kms and in October of that same year she couldn’t walk anymore.
