That Darned LEMS Again
This morning I eagerly set out on my walk, as I generally do most days. There’s a slightly brisk northerly breeze, but the skies are crystal blue, and old Sol is offering up those nice rays. But, oh wait, it’s that darned LEMS again. Right away, going down the steps I can feel the slightly stiff, soreness of Lambert-Eaton in my hips. Those of us with LEMS know well how to evaluate each day rather quickly. Alright, it’s not going to be a great walk, but it’s going to be a walk nonetheless. And off I go. I did 1.53 miles in 36:41, burned 224 total calories, at a rather snail-like pace (not too bad actually) of 23:50/mile. In the process I got fresh air, sunshine, helped out my heart and, being diabetic, my glucose levels. I hope you won’t let a little LEMS weakness keep you from a primary mission, staying as healthy and active as possible!
