As you know, I often read columns on Myasthenia Gravis News to give me thoughts on new topics you guys might like or be able to relate to.

One that resonated with me was “I Used to Hide My Disease From Others, but Now I Proudly Talk About It” by Michelle Gonzaba.

Like Michelle, I used to be ashamed or uneasy about sharing my LEMS diagnosis and especially the details of how it’s affected my life.

In recent years, I have learned to embrace my diagnosis and have become more open about sharing the details.

In fact, I often post on my Instagram about my diagnosis to spread awareness and try to decrease the stigmas associated with chronic illness.

How do you guys feel? Are you comfortable sharing details of your life with LEMS and your diagnosis or are you one who tends to shy away from sharing?
