Feeling groovy, post IVIG!
Yes, it’s a Simon and Garfunkel song, “da da da da…feeling groovy…” And also a pretty good way to describe my post immunoglobulin infusions, at least this time. If you’re on immunoglobulin, then most likely you know how the feeling can be great the next few days, or perhaps not really. In other words, results vary. This time I got some good ones. The caveat when you feel this good is what? Yup, don’t overdo it. Yes, you feel great. Yes, the LEMS is gone. But not really. Results usually taper some for me over the next few days. Today I didn’t walk as long as normal, even though I felt strong. Those great walking days are out there ahead. Best to take it easy just out of infusions to let your body settle back in. I’ve overdone it too many times. Eventually you learn.
