    Hello all! 🙂

We are nearing the end of Mental Health Awareness month, and I have a few more important topics to discuss regarding LEMS and mental health.

We may have covered this before, but what role does stress play in your life with LEMS?

Personally, stress has a big impact on how I’m feeling, especially mentally. I have a higher chance of flaring when stressed and my autonomic nervous system is very overactive if I’m too stressed. The first hallmark sign for me is when I begin getting a rash, this usually happens when I overheat but it also happens when I am overstressed. The rash will start on the tops of my ears, move to my cheeks, and eventually go down to my chest and arms.

Does anyone else have a similar reaction?

What are your favorite ways to de-stress or care for yourself?

I’ve been reading a few articles on our sister site, Myasthenia Gravis News

and I found an article that I found very relatable about the correlation between stress and Myasthenia Gravis and thought you might find it useful.

Let me know what you guys think
