  Hydrotherapy for LEMS aka Pool Time!

  As we move closer to the summer pool season, I look forward to temperatures warm enough to take my almost daily pool dips. I look forward to those short times of meditation, refreshing water, and puttering around the pool, mostly propelled by my arms. Not only do I get quality relaxation, but the daily arm work helps keep my upper body muscles toned and stronger. It’s really a win win! I’m lucky to have access to a great pool, so if you do too, take advantage!
  But there’s also a serious side to physical activity in the water, helpful to all of us with LEMS, hydrotherapy! I’ve been offered this before, but the VA pool was just too far away to make it convenient. It might be worth a discussion to see it you could add hydrotherapy as part of your LEMS wellness plan.
