Savvy Savings On Medications
Are you taking advantage of opportunities to purchase medications at a discount?
Just recently I read this article by Ed Tobias in his ‘The MS Wire’ column, New Service Takes a Shark-size Bite out of Medication Costs. You can read it HERE.
Specifically, he talks about the new company, Mark Cuban CostPlus Drug Company. He also mentions GoodRX, which I have used in the past.
A readily available LEMS medication I use is Mestinon (pyridostigmine). The average retail is $81.82 for 90 tablets. On GoodRx it is available for as low as $16.46. I’ve used them a few times for medications outside my VA pharmacy, and the savings have been significant.
Depending on your insurance coverage, using these new channels for discounted prescription prices could save your budget. With inflation what it is, savings here could provide some needed relief.
