Unfortunately, I’ve made too many visits to the ER and into the hospital lately.  Sometimes I’ve known I was going in (port placement), sometimes I was disappointed to hear I was going up to a room.  What’s most important for you to remember is the hospital pharmacy will NOT have Firdapse (amifampridine) or Ruzurgi on hand for you.  Assuming you are able, always remember to pack a good supply of medication.  And be sure to pack your prescription bottle or sleeve.  Hospitals frown on patients bringing  in meds from home.  Once they understand your need for the med, why you brought it, and that they don’t have it, taking your amifampridine will be incorporated into your stay.  I’ll have much more to say on the subject.  Have you put together a “go bag”?  If you have, I’d like to hear what you’ve packed.
