Telehealth, the In Thing Again
Last month I think my Lambert-Eaton neurologist visit was supposed to be via phone with video, a Telehealth visit. Oops! I showed up at the clinic. I hadn’t received any instructions or emails, which the VA normally sends, so in I went. There was a bit of scrambling, but my neurologist was more than happy to see me in the clinic, and we had a longer than normal visit. She wore a mask and shield, and at the end, performed the cursory strength exam. Truth is, I’ve been seeing her so long, that clinic visit wasn’t absolutely needed. We could just have easily done it via a Telehealth connection. As the virus season and Covid have picked up, so many more of our doctor visits will be via Telehealth. My Primary Care doctor is now not seeing patients in person, and I’m okay with that. Less risk for me. Less risk for them. Are you doing Telehealth, and are you happy with it? I am.
