    Good morning all!

If you follow, @lorildunham‘s column Stretcher Bearers, you know that her daughter Grace has LEMS. She often writes about her experience as a caregiver for LEMS, but also shares Grace’s perspective! This week, she interviewed Grace to have her describe what it’s like to have LEMS as a teen.

You can check out “A Word From One of the Younger LEMS Patients” here to check out Grace’s interview.

Was anyone else diagnosed with LEMS as a teen?

I was 25 when I was diagnosed with LEMS.

I would love to hear your perspective on being diagnosed with LEMS at a young age.

One of the hardest things for me is explaining that you are sick, even if you don’t look it. LEMS can be invisible sometimes, especially if you are receiving the proper treatment! Also, it got quite annoying to have people tell me I was “too young to be sick,” or “too young to be disabled.”
