Do weather changes affect your LEMS symptoms?
Have you ever noticed that your LEMS symptoms worsen during a thunderstorm or when the weather changes? Some people with chronic illnesses report feeling more tired, weak, or achy when storms roll in, but it’s not something often talked about in medical appointments.
With Lambert-Eaton Myasthenic Syndrome, our nervous and muscular systems are already sensitive, so it’s worth asking:
Can shifts in barometric pressure, humidity, or storms make a difference in how we feel?
Do you feel more fatigued, weak, or in pain during thunderstorms or before a weather front moves in?
I can definitely tell a difference when some of the high-pressure fronts move in because I can get headaches sometimes. What about you? Have you noticed changes in balance, coordination, or stiffness when it rains or the weather turns humid?
🌧️ Some LEMS Patients Report:
Increased fatigue before or during storms
Muscle stiffness in cold or damp conditions
Heightened brain fog or mood changes with weather pressure drops
While there’s not much research on weather and LEMS specifically, sharing personal experiences may help identify patterns and coping strategies.
💬 What’s your take? Have you noticed any connection between thunderstorms or weather shifts and your LEMS symptoms? Let’s compare notes and learn from each other.
