  • Exercise and LEMS: What types of movement do you do?

For many people living with LEMS, finding the right types and amounts of movement can be a challenge. We have to consider balancing strength-building with fatigue, mobility limitations, and dealing with unpredictable symptoms.

But even gentle or low-impact activity can make a meaningful difference in flexibility, stamina, and mood. As we step into 2026, this is a space to talk about what new (or renewed) kinds of movement you’re hoping to explore this year.

Are you open to trying a new exercise routine—gentle yoga, stretching, water aerobics, short walks, or chair-based exercises? Would (or will) you focus on building strength, improving balance, or just staying lightly active?

What kind of movement are you trying (or hoping to try) in 2026?
