  • LEMonS or Rare Disease Patient with LEMS?

Poll: I have met many LEMS patients in person; and I have to be honest, there are quite a few that I have met who do not like the term LEMonS for grouping our rare disease patients together with a nickname. Some find it offensive. What about you? Do you prefer to be called a LEMon or a patient with LEMS?

    Dawn,

I don’t think its offensive at all personally. I don’t really have a preference on either one but think its nice to have a nickname/term of endearment.
