    Good morning all!

I frequently browse the other rare disease forums on Bionews looking for topics that I think are relevant for us too!

I found a topic that hit close to home for me, and I’m wondering if it’s something you also struggle with.

I still have moments in my LEMS journey when I have to fight the intense anger that sometimes strikes when others complain about their everyday struggles as an “able-bodied” person. I have moments when I am drained of all my empathy and have nothing left to give. I have to remind myself to be grateful for everything I have, along with my quality of life.

Jodi Enders posted a really good topic on Myasthenia Gravis news
And I couldn’t think of a more eloquent way to reword it, so I decided to leave you with the direct quote.

“It can be difficult not to compare our chronic experience with LEMS to others who are expressing their distress about a situation that, to us, is not even close to the struggles we endure. It can also be challenging not to feel angry when other individuals do not consider your health situation when they express their feelings and situations to you.

Do you struggle to empathize with those in better situations than yourself? Do you experience thoughts that their expression of emotion is not valid or that they are not appreciative of what they have?”
