  Is there a 3,4 DAP Shortage?

  For many of us, 3,4 DAP (diaminopyridine) is an integral part of our treatment plan. In the United States it is FDA approved as Firdapse and Ruzurgi. Frankly, I’m not sure how it is distributed in Europe or elsewhere. Perhaps someone there can reply with details.
  Recently I learned of a patient in Ireland having difficulty getting 3,4 DAP. Following this up, I have heard that there may be a shortage elsewhere in the world. This information has not been substantiated. Not wanting to alarm anyone, but the problem can’t be fixed or worked around if we don’t know the extent of such a possible shortage. To that end, if you personally have a prescription for 3,4 DAP in any of its forms and are having difficulty with your supply, please reply to this topic, and we will discuss.
