When do I get the shot?
One COVID-19 vaccine is now FDA approved and being distributed in the U.S. and given as I write this. Fantastic news! I won’t go on and on about what a miracle of science this is, but it is. Now it’s all about the rollout. From a recent Wall Street Journal front page article the timelines goes something like this. December – 20 million doses for Health-care personnel and long term care facility residents. January through March – 80 million doses for essential workers (non-healthcare). After March – Undetermined doses, for those with high-risk medical conditions and age 65+ years. In my mind that includes those of us with Lambert-Eaton Myasthenic Syndrome. In my case, age as well. So in our cases, it would seem many of us should begin getting the vaccine in the second quarter, 2021. I don’t know about you, but this is fantastic news to me, and it can’t happen soon enough. 2021 will be a better year! Much better.
