Hi everyone!  Once again I’ve had a troubling CT with new nodules.  I’ve had them previously, and my LEMS began years ago with no cancer then.  My question, has anyone had cancer develop long after their LEMS?  And would you associate it with your LEMS even though they didn’t appear together, around the same time?

Hi Price,  I’m sorry to read that they found new nodules. It’s my understanding that a patient can have LEMS up to 5 years prior to cancer being found. When someone is high risk, they usually do the scans every 6 months for those 5 years. How long ago was your LEMS diagnosis? What is the next step as far as those new nodules are concerned?  Sending you positive thoughts!

Thanks Dawn.  Well, if our theory that my LEMS started in 2009, then we are 10 years out.  The diagnosis was given in January 2017, so I’m just at 2 years out from diagnosis.  To me this seems like, if I did get cancer, it would most likely not be LEMS related.
