Hi Price! I have travelled frequently with my B-PAP machine. If there is distilled readily available, I’ll use it. If not, I use tap water during  the trip, and then clean my machine with vinegar when home. It would be great if you could buy distilled water at the airport, huh? I hope this is helpful. Kevin

For me, taking Imodium every other day works. Mestinon, I believe extends the period between Firdapse doses, which is every 4-5 hours. Imodium also helps the day after IVIg infusion.

Hi Everyone! I’m Kevin Deihl, living in Chandler, Arizona and I was diagnosed in January 2019.

  • I have learned to roll with the “punches” so to speak. The challenges presented to us differ from time to time, but if you can accept the challenge, then it’s another step forward. It’s a learning process of what’s going on with your body and how to alleviate symptoms. I have a tremendous amount of support when things “go south”. I have a greater appreciation for things like, “today was good day”!

I loved my physical therapists that I had prior to COVID-19 numbers going crazy in AZ. I have not been back since Nov. 2020 but am getting close to returning. With LEMS and 2 torn rotator cuffs, there was always something to work on with me!

I must update my earlier post on the vaccine shot. After experiencing fevers and cough for the Sat. and Sunday, my wife woke up Monday feeling ill like me. Her symptoms continued thru Tuesday and she convinced me we should get COVID tested. On Thursday, Feb. 11, we received the positive results.  I received the monoclonal antibody treatment from Mayo on Friday the 12th. That night I ran a 103.t fever and was short of breath. With help from my wife and some Tylenol, was able to avoid going to the hospital. Once the fever broke, I’ve been fine ever since. However having received the monoclonal treatment, we can’t receive the 2nd vaccine shot 90 days post treatment. All in all having COVID hasn’t been that bad.

Good Morning All! Well, I got my first dose of the Pfizer vaccine on Wednesday and I reported all went well. Saturday,I woke up feeling ill and feverish. I left it run it’s course until the fever reached 101.9. I took 2 Tylenol and it helped. It’s Sunday now and no fever but still feel ill. We’ll see what develops today.

  • Thank you Ashley and even on the “bad” days”, it could always be worse!
